I graduated from Downey High school and of course wound up teaching in Downey. I have taught elementary for 39 years, been on the DEA Board of Directors for 22 years, and represented you on CTA STate Council for 8 years. I have enjoyed all of my activities in Downey.

Blair Bolles-Griffiths MS-4343
After graduating from West Virginia University, I came west and California hopped from Carmel to South Lake Tahoe and,finally, to So. Cal. I know. It's hard to believe that someone would actually leave those two beautiful places. However,I've been happily at work here as an RSP teacher for 19 years. During that time I've had the good fortune to have to represented Downey teachers as a site rep, Middle School Director, Treasurer, Secretary, and a nine time Representative Assembly delegate. We have a tremendous organization, and I'm always proud to say I'm a Downey teacher.

Julia Wright-Old River Elementary-2621
This is my tenth year teaching and I have experience at multiple schools in DUSD. I am currently serving on the board as your Treasurer. I am very aware of teacher concerns. During my years as a school representative and serving as Elementary Director on the Board, I have gained valuable experience and dedicated myself to mastering the rules that govern our relationship with the district in order to be an effective advocate for you. I promise to continue my training on union issues in order to best represent you all.
